Plain words, not jargon
“Groceries has $82 left for 9 days.” Comfortable, Tight, Funded, Due Soon — labels a human understands at a glance.

Inzolo gives every dollar a job, turns a messy pile of transactions into one quiet review queue, and tells you in plain words what to do next. Money made clear — not stressful.
No credit card. Your data stays yours. AI assists — you approve every money decision.
Why Inzolo
Charts you don’t read. A ledger that never reconciles. Notifications that only ever mean bad news. Inzolo flips the daily experience: lead with what’s safe to spend, what needs a moment of attention, and one clear next step — then let you close the app in under two minutes.
“Groceries has $82 left for 9 days.” Comfortable, Tight, Funded, Due Soon — labels a human understands at a glance.
Rules and your own history do the heavy lifting. AI only steps in when it’s unsure — and nothing touches a balance until you approve it.
Open it, approve what came in, check what’s safe to spend, move money if you need to, and get on with your day.
What’s inside
The full zero-based workflow — built and tested — wrapped in a deliberately quiet design.
Give every dollar a job with “Ready to Assign,” category groups, rollover, and one-tap move-money to cover overspending.
Connect your bank via SimpleFIN, or upload CSV and OFX/QFX exports. Every path lands in the same review queue, deduped automatically.
Imports arrive pre-sorted by confidence with a category guess. Rules and history first, AI as a careful fallback, you with the final say.
Compare snowball vs. avalanche, slide your extra payment, and see a real debt-free date and the interest you’ll save.
A weekly check-in, gentle drift alerts, and plain-language suggestions drawn from your real budget — encouraging, never scolding.
Payday, bill, review and import reminders with quiet hours — plus spend-by-category trends and a net-worth view.
What makes Inzolo different
Most envelope apps say “give every dollar a job” and leave the order to you. Inzolo adds a Priority Ladder — a clear sequence so your first dollars go where they matter most, and you always know your single next move.
Surface one next action — not ten. The ladder is on our roadmap; the budget engine beneath it ships today.
One quiet queue
Bank sync, CSV, and OFX/QFX all flow into a single approval queue. Inzolo deduplicates exact rows, guesses a category, and waits. Nothing changes a balance until you say so.
Debt, with a finish line
Add your balances, APRs and minimums. Inzolo compares the snowball (smallest balance first, for momentum) against the avalanche (highest rate first, for savings) and shows exactly what an extra $50 a month does.
The daily loop
Inzolo is designed to be opened, used, and set down — not lived in.
Link your bank or import a file, then give every dollar a job with starter envelopes.
The queue arrives pre-categorized by confidence. Tap to approve, recategorize, or split.
See safe-to-spend and any envelope that needs attention. Move money in one tap to cover it.
A weekly check-in surfaces drift, wins, and your one next move up the ladder.
Our promise about AI
“AI assists. Rules decide. You approve.”
Deterministic rules and your own approved history are the core system. AI is a careful fallback for the uncertain cases and the plain-language explanations — never a hidden hand on your money.
A note from the maker
“I built Inzolo for my own household first — for the version of budgeting my wife and I would actually keep up with. Calm, honest, and quick. If it earns a place in your daily routine, it’s doing its job.”

Questions
It’s isiXhosa for peace or tranquility, pronounced / in·ZOH·loh /. That’s the whole goal: a money app calm enough to open every day.
Yes. You assign every available dollar to a category until “Ready to Assign” reaches zero. Balances roll over month to month, and covering an overspent envelope is a single tap of move-money.
Rules and your approved history run first. Only when those are uncertain does AI suggest a category, always with a confidence score and explanation. Imported transactions stay unapproved — and out of your balances — until you accept them.
Connect accounts through SimpleFIN for nightly sync, or upload CSV and OFX/QFX exports from virtually any bank. Plaid support is on the roadmap. Every import is deduplicated and lands in the same review queue.
Your data is yours. Inzolo stores money as exact integer cents in an append-only ledger, keeps provider credentials isolated, and never makes a money decision without your approval. The app is also designed to be self-hostable with Docker.
The web app is responsive and works well on mobile today. A native iOS companion for the daily review-and-approve loop is on the roadmap.
Yes. Inzolo is in active development, but you can create an account today at app.inzolo.com and start testing the workflow yourself.
