InzoloDirect-connect supported banks
If you landed here from an older Inzolo link: welcome back. The new Inzolo supports connected account imports through Plaid and SimpleFIN, with manual file imports available when a direct connection is not the right fit.
The short version. Inzolo connects to financial institutions through Plaid and SimpleFIN. Exact bank coverage depends on which provider supports your institution and account type, but both options feed transactions into the same review queue where you approve everything before it affects your budget.
Two ways to connect your bank
Plaid
Plaid supports many major banks, credit unions, credit cards, and financial apps. It is usually the best first try for broad institution coverage and familiar bank-linking flows.
SimpleFIN
SimpleFIN is a privacy-minded connection option used by many personal finance tools. When your bank is available through SimpleFIN, it gives Inzolo a clean transaction feed without the spreadsheet rodeo.
What happens after you connect
Connected accounts import transactions into Inzolo’s approval queue. Inzolo can suggest categories using your rules, approved history, and cautious fallback guesses, but imported transactions do not change your budget until you approve them. The robot may sort the envelopes; you still hold the stamp.
- Transactions land in one review queue, whether they came from Plaid, SimpleFIN, CSV, or OFX/QFX.
- Duplicates are filtered so reconnecting or importing a file does not create a budget confetti cannon.
- You can approve, edit, split, or recategorize before anything touches your envelope balances.
- You can disconnect a linked account whenever you want.
If your bank is not listed
Bank availability changes over time and varies by provider. If Plaid does not support your institution, try SimpleFIN. If neither has a reliable connection, Inzolo still supports file imports from most banks:
- CSV exports with reusable column mapping.
- OFX/QFX exports from banks and credit cards that offer Quicken-style downloads.
The goal is simple: however your transactions get into Inzolo, they should end up in the same calm workflow.
